Chitosan Supercapacitors
Chitin and chitosan (10 Mt/year), the second most abundant organic matter in nature after cellulose (20 Mt/year), are environmentally friendly and renewable biomaterials. Chitosan is primarily obtained from marine crustaceans such as crabs and shrimp, and has been used primarily in medicine.
